‘Only Rajya Sabha polls discussed’: Congress rejects Karnataka CM change buzz
Venugopal said that the discussions held with Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah and his deputy DK Shivakumar centred around the upcoming Rajya Sabha polls.
Venugopal said that Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge has cleared the induction of MLAs Rajesh Kumar and P Vishwanathan into the Tamil Nadu Cabinet.
The Congress is set to return to power in Tamil Nadu after 59 years as two party MLAs will join Chief Minister Vijay’s cabinet on Thursday, May 21, party general secretary KC Venugopal said on Wednesday.

Noting that the Grand Old Party will join the Tamil Nadu Cabinet after a long gap of 59 years, Venugopal called it a historic occasion.
“This is a historic occasion for us, as the Congress joins the Tamil Nadu cabinet after a long gap of 59 years!,” he said.
The Congress leader further conveyed his best wishes to the Congress MLAs, saying the party is confident that they will deliver on the hopes and aspirations of the people of Tamil Nadu and will work to realise the vision of welfare and pro-people governance laid down by Rahul Gandhi.
The Congress was the first to extend support to Vijay’s TVK after the party fell short of the majority mark in the recently concluded Tamil Nadu Assembly elections.
